ILGA Europe Conference 2028 in Tampere, Finland Candidacy

Our organization has submitted a proposal to ILGA-Europe to act as hosting organisation for the ILGA-Europe conference taking place in 2028.

We are supported in this bid by the City of Tampere (https://www.tampere.fi/en) and Mayor Ilmari Nurminen, and our partner in this endeavor is, naturally, Pirkanmaan Seta – Sinuiksi ry (https://www.sinuiksi.fi/), the regional LGBTI -organisation.

ILGA-Europe has acknowledged our candidacy, and we will be actively campaigning for it at various events— eventually at the ILGA-Europe conference in Dublin in the autumn of 2026.

We have already made preliminary bookings for a significant portion of Tampere Hall and the entire adjacent Marriott Hotel for the event, which is scheduled for October 2028.

We are developing the proposal in collaboration with the Tampere Convention Bureau and numerous other partners. For more information about the project, please email info[@]transfeminiinit.fi.

Join us in making this hosting proposal a success.

Facilitating the Conference

Transfeminiinit and Sinuiksi understand what a major Conferences requires, and we have started the planning of facilitating as local organisations a conference. We look forward of being able to have some one hundred volunteer working at the conference and related to it, and our staff has already handled larger events.

Transfeminiinit was the local host of the IGLYO Global Academy in 2025 and Sinuiksi is the organiser of Finland’s second largest yearly pride event, the Manse-Pride.
